4146 Terrace Street is an “Eastern Shingle Cottage”, so named because of the “A” frame shape, the shingle surfaces and for being reminiscent of an east coast style. The details, however, are in the tradition of the Colonial Revival style, with a raised first story, a recessed front porch with classic columns and a bay window on the one side. It has a gigantic gable, pierced by 3 windows in this case and dormer-like projections with windows on each side. The windows throughout are all double hung.
